Candle subscriptions
Diving into the fabulous variety offered in luxury candles can be overwhelming! Even those of us who have been passionate about candles for years can have a hard time deciding which new scents and brands to try. With a candle subscription service, however, candle enthusiasts are offered a wide range of candles and brands so that we can discover our favorite fragrances, all from the comfort of our home.
Luxury candle subscription services like the amazing Wickbox offer many benefits for both luxury candle newbies and veteran candle aficionados alike. Candle subscriptions, oh how I love thee! Let me count the ways…
1. Find a New Fav
Many of us can get pretty addicted to a single candle or brand, forgetting that there are literally millions of luxury candle options out there. Candle subscription services provide us with a new candle each month, often from up-and-coming brands that we may not have heard of yet. This means that we are the first to learn of delicious new fragrances and designs!
Plus, many of these companies, including Wickbox, use surveys and other tools to learn your unique scent preferences, ensuring that each candle makes your nose sing. And, if a candle doesn’t tickle your fancy, then you still have an awesome gift wrapped up and ready to go for the next birthday, shower, or wedding you attend.
2. Save Money
For many of these companies, the price of a large candle each month ends up being incredibly cost effective. For example, Wickbox charges $40/month for a large candle, which means that subscribers might end up with a Maison D’Or Candle that usually sells for $80+ at half price! Given that most luxury candles start at $60 each, I find that this service ends up leaving me with change left over each month to try more scents than ever before.
You can also start out by purchasing smaller sizes, which makes the sampling process even more affordable.
3. Always Have a Gift on Hand
Unexpected guest? Last-minute party invite? Never worry about running to the store for a quick and harried gift-buying experience again. Not only will you have a candle ready to go, but it will also be wrapped, looking as though you had planned this gift out months in advance.
I always like to keep a candle or two ready to gift, just in case—I love the feeling I get when I give a heartfelt gift that someone clearly loves when they unwrap it! Your subscription can also be used to justify filling an entire closet with candles!
4. Avoid the Crowds
As much as I love luxury candles, I can sometimes end up feeling extremely overwhelmed after an afternoon of shopping. Luckily, I can depend on my candle subscription service to transport me to the excitement of a candle shop without leaving the comfort of my own home. Each month, I receive a new scent, often from a classic brand or a rising star in the industry. Introducing one new candle into my repertoire each month enables me to take the time to really enjoy each unique fragrance.
Even if I don’t like the scent, I can keep it in my closet to gift to someone with a different scent profile!
There are many candle subscription services out there, and they almost universally offer good value and variety. While I haven’t tried them all, I have had great personal experience with Wickbox. It’s an amazing company that takes the time to learn each person’s scent profile, offers reasonable prices, and provides seriously gorgeous packaging that always brightens my day.
And guess what?! I’ve teamed up with Wickbox to offer a three-month subscription free to one of my awesome readers. Sign up now for a chance to WIN your own ticket to relaxation!

November 19, 2016 at 11:28 amI wish every room, every day, all day long smelled like Wasabi Pear by NEST Fragrances… but since that scent is now discontinued and might be a little hard to find… I might have to pick Lemongrass & Ginger or Grapefruit by NEST Fragrances as my second favorite.

November 28, 2016 at 1:17 pmWasabi Pear is one of my favorites too! I’m so sad it’s being discontinued, it’s so sweet and fruity. Have you tried their Apricot Tea? It’s amazing! I’m a huge fan of NEST!

November 20, 2016 at 2:49 amMy faves are the woodwick, jo Malone and diptyque brands. As long as they’re along the vanilla or rose scents I find it heavenly and ever so smoothing.

November 22, 2016 at 2:56 pmI’ve never had the pleasure of enjoying a luxury candle. I have only purchased Yankee and Bath and Body Works candles. I started getting into candles back in 2014 and 2015. I love bakery scents but not a fan of chocolate scented candles. I also enjoy calming scents such as lavender and eucalyptus. Thank you so much for hosting such a wonderful giveaway!

November 27, 2016 at 10:50 pmAfter consideration, I’ve noticed I tend to prefer floral scented candles over others. I’m particularly fond of blended scents that use flowers and natural oils.
